So as it is officially first proper day of the blog, this is my first proper breakfast of the blog, made today, 5th January!
So I made an old family favourite, French toast. My mum would always make this when we had left over baguette from the previous day, but it works with any bread. It's really easy and quick to make:
1) whisk an egg with healthy pouring of milk ( I always use soya milk), in a shallow dish or bowl.
2) slice the bread and leave in the egg mixture to soak, don't forget to turn the bread over to ensure it is fully absorbing the mix.
3) once soaked, cook on a hot pan - there is no need to grease the pan at all. For extra flavour you may want to add some cinnamon sugar - I make this by combining brown sugar and cinnamon.
4) serve with whatever toppings you like! In my house popular choices are jam, honey, ketchup and chocolate spreads ☺️
Enjoy! X
