I haven't done any full posts recently as I've been dying in my exams, but I'm back now and ready for summer and have a few bits from Leeds to post about!
The other week I decided to give myself (another) food revision break - so I headed down to the brand new Thai place in the Grand Arcade, Zaap.
It's put a totally modern twist on a traditional Thai restaurant, which is pretty cool. The interior is so bright and colourful, you almost feel like you're in Bangkok with old cans as lampshades and neon lights hanging from the ceiling and the place is scattered with traditional decorations and you can even eat inside a Tuk Tuk!

They have a great selection of popular Thai beverages that you wouldn't normally find in any normal restaurant, like the Roselle juice I had, which tasted amazingly fragrant and fruity. You can see all the food being freshly prepared which really brings the street vibe to life.

The menu covers all the classics, like Pad Thai, Red/Green Curries, Fishcakes and all the family take-out favourites, but also has a great range of small sharer plates, salads and other traditional dishes that are definitely worth trying that you may not normally have.

Zaap is definitely worth a visit, I'll definitely be heading back when I'm in Leeds over summer. Absolutely nothing beats freshly made Thai food made by families - that's when you know it's the real deal!
