Hey all!
So I'm back in Leeds now, but have a few restaurant features to post from my time in London over the Easter break. Here is the first...
I was lucky enough to visit the incredible restaurant, Le Pont de la Tour. The main restaurant is pricey, however the Bar and Grill part is slightly more affordable. The restaurant is just steps away from Tower Bridge, one of London's biggest landmarks!
There was a great deal on OpenTable for the Bar and Grill - 3 courses and a cocktail for £20! OpenTable is an amazing website to find great deals for some of the best restaurants in London, I always recommend it to my friends and my family use it all the time! I'm pretty sure they have deals for other cities outside of London too, however I'm unsure of their global presence.
So we had a set menu to choose from; however the all the options were so good I found it a challenge to decide what to pick! In the snap below you can see my 3 course meal & cocktail;
- Eldeflower Collins; Gin, Lemon Juice, Elderflower Cordial & Soda
- Salad of Crisp Pork Belly; with Watercress, Apple & Fennel
- Pea & Broadbean Risotto; with Goat Cheese & Quail Eggs (this was the first time I've had quail eggs, and they're pretty darn tasty!)
- Pineapple Cheesecake; with Coconut & Lime Sorbet
If you're in London any time soon and can still get hold of this offer (check OpenTable), definitely go! It's not very often you get to eat at such a well respected restaurant for such an affordable price!
