For any foodie people and keen instagram/tumblr users, you would have seen that having meals out of jars has become a weirdly popular trend.
When I was at home last weekend my mum made a delicious fruit salad, made up of mango, kiwi, melon and pear. So I could take it back to uni she piled a bowlful into an old jam jar, so I had to take the opportunity to give this a go!
So in my breakfast jar I topped fruit salad with Alpro soy yoghurt and then a mixture of sunflower and pumpkin seeds, almonds and sultanas for extra crunch.
This combination provides you with not only a bucket load of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, but also lots of protein and fibre. Also note that this is dairy and gluten free, so if you've already started your summer body!
Other common combinations include smoothies or granola etc. Also colourful salads look great in a jar! So if you fancy making your breakfast a bit more hipster and instagram ready, give this a go!
