So last week it's fair to say I had my share of asian food!
On Thursday I headed to Trinity Kitchen at Trinity Shopping Centre in Leeds. They have an array of international cuisines with a street/fast food edge. My friend and I shared a Chicken Bun Bowl - which was filled with vermicelli noodles and vegetables with a classic Vietnamese sweet and sour sort of sauce. We then also grabbed a "bowl" which was actually a box from Rola Wola, which is indian street food. It was filled with rice, gobi (chickpeas, peas, cauliflower) , chicken and mixed salad with an array of toppings. Definitely recommend Trinity Kitchen to the students, it's super affordable and so tasty! Most places even offer student discount!

So I headed home on Saturday where I was greeted with a goody bag of treats from my mum's recent trip to Tokyo. It was filled with the following:
• purple grape fanta
• green tea (matcha) kit kats
• chocolates with a soy bean powder (kinako) flavour filling
• ramune (marble lemonade) flavoured sour gummies
• peach flavour gummies
• japanese sugar sweets
• and the classic strawberry hi-chews
Lastly, we went to London for dinner for Mother's Day. We went to BamBou (I've posted about here before!) it's fair to say we got very carried away with trying the menu. I'll try and list what we ordered (I would highly recommend it all; everything was beyond delicious!);
• cocktails - long lost punch, French fizz & roselle (non-alcoholic)
• small plates - bam Bou crackers, crispy squid, flat iron steak
• salads - duck & pineapple, crab & green mango
• mains - Vietnamese veg curry, bambou steamed sea bass, chilli prawns
• sides - egg fried noodles, steamed rice and bak choi
• desserts - sweet potato doughnuts & passion fruit macaron (set menu dessert)
As you can tell we had a bit of a field day in BamBou. I'll say the food was just as incredible as last time - exactly what you expect from an Ivy Restaurant.
Ps sorry for the super long post, it's just been a very (asian) foodie week!
