Let's start with a few starters as always - a couple of these can be found on the lunch menu too, like the hummus & pitta platter which also comes with crudites, harissa & a mint yoghurt dip. This was the ideal for a sharing snack at lunch or dinner. So you might guess from the other starters I tried that I love a bit of seafood - scallops, conch, tuna and squid. Scallops are always a delightful treat; these were served with pork belly and asparagus with a sweet pineapple coulis.

Next up were the Conch Fritters. So you know those big conch shells? Yeah, well a sort of shellfish lives inside of them, which I never knew, I just thought they were funky shells if I'm honest! Conch Fritters seemed very popular in the BVI/Caribbean, gracing every menu we saw. They tasted a lot like prawns, so obviously I was a guaranteed fan of them. As marie-rose sauce matches perfectly with prawns, it was the ideal sauce to be drizzled over the fritters.

Onto the main event...

While on the seafood trend, I'll show you the Tuna main dish which was served on a bed of coconut rice and a side pot of spicy teriyaki sauce, which pretty much brought 3 of my fave things together - coconut, seafood and japanese style food - the dream meal for my first night.
The second night we were all still stuffed from a late lunch so had a load of starters. Then the third night my Mum and I shared the Chicken Roti curry and I completely forgot to take a snap - which is very unlike me (my friends can definitely agree, because they hate waiting for me to take photos of my food). Chicken Roti is a popular curry in the Caribbean - a medium level of spice and served in a wrap, which a nice twist to the curries we're used to in the UK.
The last day we ate in the restaurant I had the Roast Chicken which is served with sun-dried tomato pesto and risotto. This was unbelievably tasty, I couldn't quite put my finger on the flavour of the gravy, but it was top notch. As always with risotto, I was left feeling overwhelmingly full, but it was totally worth it.

So on the odd occasion that you may be floating through the British Virgin Islands, you better check out Cooper Island Beach Club, or you'll definitely be missing out on some of the best food in the area!
