EmiEats Crunchy Yoghurt Topping!


Morning all! 

So as you can probably tell, I am a BIG breakfast fan! This morning I tried something a little different - a crunchy yoghurt topping - it's high in fibre and flavour! 

Ingredients;
• rolled oats
• dark brown sugar
• mixed raisins
• cinnamon
• ginger 
• a little oil and honey 

So just mix everything together and place in a pot in the oven at about 200 degrees until the oats turn golden - every 5 minutes or so check the mixture; give it a stir and taste check to see if it's starting to crunch.  Once it's done, leave it to cool so it starts to set and really crunch up! Then just scatter over a yoghurt of choice. I added a few almonds and a drizzle of honey too! 

This is super simple to make and tastes amazing, especially if you love spices and flavour like me!  The oats and raisins are a good source of fibre, almonds are a good source of vitamin E and protein, also dark brown sugar is better for you as it is not as refined as white sugar.
